About the manor house

Coburg manor house is a unique French classical building in historical Gemer. A three storey building built in 1763 was added to an older renaissance building from the early 17th century that was built on the original place of an alleged templar monastery. At the back of the manor house, there were preserved three wings with a corner towers/bastions with a rectangular ground plan, embrasures and details of renaissance windows.

Since 2015 Jelšava town has been implementing restoration works for renewing the manor house and for its opening to public during cultural events.
