REVÚCA Elementary School day at the Coburg mansion
In the own words of the teachers and students of the Primary School in Revúca
This is how we, artists, had it in Coburg!
The older students of the art department took part in a tour of the manor house in Jelšava and, what’s more, they even tried painting right there. You could say that we had the whole manor house to ourselves!
To my surprise, the children liked the premises, which breathe a magnificent history, at first sight. We explained the assignment and they boldly set to work. So far, they have completed the assignments more than excellently and even…! ..they did better than at school.
Our goal was to revive the stories of the walls from ancient times and capture the atmosphere from the times of court ladies and gentlemen. The children used their imagination and transferred scenes from life in the manor to their drawings.
We had a great time working with the children and we believe that each of them will take away a significant artistic experience from this day!
